The NGO has threatened to knock the doors of the High  Court if action against the SGPDA and MMC officials is not initiated  within 15 days. The Civil and Criminal Court building is coming up on  the western side of the District and Sessions Court building.

In his  complaint lodged with various authorities, including the Registrar High  Court, Chief Secretary, SGPDA, Margao Municipal Council, and the  Principal Session Judge, Margao, GGF Chairman Raison Almeida contended  that the SGPDA and the MMC has granted permissions for the construction  of the court building with inadequate car parking space, only 18 car  park. “It has been brought to our notice as per the build rules in force  in the State, the required car space for the present under construction  Civil and Criminal building ought to be around 75 car slots,” he said.

The GGF reminded that the campus is  hardly 10 metres away from the old market circle, which faces a lot of  traffic congestion throughout the day.
