North Goa Planning and Development Authority (NGPDA) has issued a demolition order for Clematis Hotel in Candolim as it had not taken required approvals.

NGPDA, chairman Michael Lobo, said, “Clematis Hotel has constructed three blocks without taking no-objection-certificate (NOC) from panchayat, NGPDA or coastal regulation zone (CRZ) department.”

Lobo said that this construction is in violation of CRZ rules. “The structure came up two months back without taking any approvals. We inspected it and sent show cause notice to them. Now, we will demolish the said structure,” Lobo informed.
