PANAJI:
The Chief Town Planner has denied any flaws in the change of zone pertaining to a property belonging to Goa's former Chief Secretary Puneet Goel.
The submission made before the High Court of Bombay at Goa on Thursday comes in response to a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) writ petition against him and others, challenging the alleged illegal zoning change of the property in Aldona.
Goel was transferred out of Goa around mid October amid serious allegations of illegal land conversion. The petitioners also alleged corruption in the administration surrounding the zoning change. The High Court has now adjourned the matter for further hearing on December 16.
