No let up in number of Covid cases in Bardez, 111 more test positive for virus

There is no letup in the rise of Covid-19 cases in Bardez with 111 persons testing positive on Tuesday.

Mapusa Urban Health Centre led the race with 35 cases, followed by Siolim Primary Health Centre (PHC) with 21 cases.

In Mapusa UHC, the highest number of positive cases came from Khorlim with 16 persons testing positive. Five persons tested positive in Rajvaddo/Angod, four in Carrasvaddo, two each in Duler and Dangui Colony and one each in Morod, Dattawadi, Ansabhat, Feira Alta, Xelpem and Peddem completed the score in Mapusa.

Under the jurisdiction of Siolim PHC, six persons tested positive in Parra, five in Anjuna, four in Canca and three each in Assagao and Oxel.

Candolim PHC Health Officer Dr Roshan Nazareth informed that nine persons were infected with the virus in Candolim, two each in Pilerne, Reis Magos and Sangolda and one each in Saligao, Nerul and Arpora.

In Porvorim PHC, ten persons tested positive in Salvado do Mundo, two persons each in Socorro and Penha de France and one in Guirim.

Colvale PHC Health Officer Dr Damodar Narvenkar informed that five persons were infected in Camulrim, four in Tivim and one each in Nadora and Colvale.

In Aldona PHC, five persons tested positive in Moira, two in Aldona and one each in Ucassaim, Bastora and Nachinola.
