No lewd remarks were passed against me, says MMC chairperson


MARGAO: Margao Municipal Chairperson Babita Angle Prabhudesai on Sunday said that the accused from Orlim did not pass any lewd remarks against her saying that she had already left the office of the TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai when the accused made her presence felt on Saturday evening.
In the meantime, a local Margao Court on Sunday ordered the release of the accused Agostinho Rodrigues, who was arrested by the Fatorda police for molestation, on a bail of Rs 10,000 with one identical surety. The accused has been directed by the court to report to the Fatorda police station for five days.
