The Shri Damodar Bhajani Saptah Samiti on Tuesday stated that the famous Maha Shivaratri festival will not be celebrated at Shri Damodar Mandir in Vasco this year, as the Covid pandemic is still rampant in the State.
In a press release, the committee stated that the temple would remain open for devotees to visit on that day without any religious observances.
“Also, as there will be no anointing ceremony on the linga on that day, the committee has informed that one should not enter the temple with milk, etc. The committee has appealed to the people to use sanitiser, wear masks and keep social distance while visiting the temple,” stated the press release.
