Even though one year has passed since the Goa Staff Selection Commission was formed, there has not been a single recruitment done through this special body.
The Goa State Selection Act was passed in the Goa assembly in the Monsoon session last year. The Act was notified on September 18.
IAS officer Punit Kumar is the chairman of this commission, Daulat Havaldar and Menino D'souza two other members. However, Daulat Havaldar was superannuated recently.
After the lockdown was announced in March 2020, there has been no recruitment for permanent posts in the government department except for health services.
