Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday said that there are presently no restrictions imposed on visiting waterfalls in the State.
He, however, appealed to tourists and locals alike to exercise utmost caution and remain vigilant, particularly in view of the changing weather conditions during the monsoon season.
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of adhering to safety protocols while planning such excursions.
“Visitors must keep track of weather updates issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and follow all safety advisories to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience at Goa’s waterfalls,” he said.
He further reminded the public that while the natural beauty of Goa’s waterfalls attracts large crowds, these spots can also become risky during heavy rainfall or sudden water flow surges. “The government has not placed any restrictions, but personal safety must be the top priority,” Sawant added.
