No TA, DA for cops on Nat Games duty

PANAJI
Around 5,000 police personnel deployed on duty for the National Games in Goa will not be eligible for any travelling or dearness allowances. This directive, probably one of the rare decisions, has been issued by the Goa Police even though the department acknowledged that most of the staff are requesting to issue an ex-post facto sanction order to enable them to claim Travelling Allowance (TA) and Dearness Allowance (DA).

“It has been noticed that most of the staff are requesting to issue Ex-post facto sanction order to claim TA/DA after performing law and order duties, etc. In this regard, it is to be ensured that No TA/DA claim will be entertained to all Police Personnel/ officials who will be performing any law and order or other duties during the… National Games 2023…” reads the order by Superintendent of Police (Head Quarters) Nelson Albuquerque, copy of which is also in possession of The Goan.
