Three persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of a labourer who was found dead near the Collem railway station.
The three accused, Ramesh Suresh Talwara alias Dodamani (40) from Hukkeri-Karnataka, Shivam Ram Bahadur (22) from Raibareli-UP and Chandrakant Shrirang Bhagyawant (56) of Satara-Maharashtra were arrested by police.
The three accused are alleged to have claimed that they had killed Philip Kiskotta under the influence of alcohol.
The victim was found nude on October 24 and police investigations revealed that Ramesh Talwara alias Dodamani and the victim would quarrel after consuming alcohol. Following the murder, Dodamani was found missing along with another person Chandrakant Bhagyawant. The third suspect was still in Goa.
A police team went to Karnataka and arrested Dodamani from Sankeshwar and Chandrakant Bhagyawant from Hyderabad. Police investigations are in progress under the supervision of DySP Ashish Shirodkar and PI Sagun Sawant.
