Seven of the 11 panchas in the Cortalim Panchayat have moved a no-confidence motion against Sarpanch Senia Pereira and Deputy Sarpanch Santana Da Gama.
The Panch members, Antonio Fernandes, Francisco Mendes, Angela Furtado, Pratap Naik, Agostinho Menezes, Edociana Rodrigues and Raymond De Sa, moved the no-confidence motion after accusing the Sarpanch and Deputy Sarpanch of failing to take panch members into confidence and failing to take up development in the village.
A special meeting has been convened at the Cortalim Panchayat on February 4 to decide on the no-confidence motion.
