In a bid to facilitate ease of doing business, TCP department has appointed notary engineers and architects to grant technical clearance and offer quick approvals on behalf of the PDAs to simplify the process involved in construction activity across the State.
Addressing a news conference in Vasco, newly appointed Notary Engineer Bharat Kamat said that a total of three notary engineers and three notary architects have been appointed by the department and can be approached by the people from across the State, if required, instead of going to the PDAs concerned.
“Pallavi Satardekar, Pradnya Parsekar and Anuradha Guglani have been appointed as the Notary Architects and Thomas D’Costa, Vilas Bhangi and I have been appointed as Notary Engineers,” said Kamat.
“The TCP department led by Minister Vishwajit Rane has given us guidelines to issue technical clearance, development permission and completion order for low risk building having a built up area of maximum 500 sq mts and height of the building is limited to ground plus two storeys including stilt floor and/or compound wall, only in respect of plots having an area up to 500 sq mtrs of approved sub-division lay out by competent authority.”
“The norms are clear and simplified and people have a choice of going to the TCP or the PDA or approach us who are notary engineers and architects for approvals,” said Kamat.
Kamat added that notary engineers and architects have been appointed by the TCP department and can function in any of the PDAs in Goa.
“Those approaching us must have all documents regarding ownership or the third party approvals. No rules are being changed and all the laws of the State have to be followed before approaching us. We are only here to reduce the time-frame involved in approvals and sanctions through ease of doing business.”
“We are supposed to collect the fees on behalf of the department and submit it to the government. Proper challans will be issued to the clients who will go to the bank and deposit it in the government treasury,” said Kamat.
