In a major setback to former minister and Priol MLA Govind Gaude, six of the seven members of Bhoma Adcolna Panchayat have moved a no-confidence motion against Sarpanch Sunil Naik, a staunch supporter of Gaude.
The panchas who have moved the no-confidence motion are Damodar Naik, Sunil Dharma Naik, Abdul Khan, Pratima Phadte Gaonkar, Mitali Phadte, and Shaila Naik, isolating the sarpanch in the seven-member panchayat.
Incidentally, a no-confidence motion had recently been moved against the sarpanch and deputy sarpanch of Betki-Khandola Panchayat. However, Gaude succeeded in convincing one panch member to switch sides, and the no-confidence motion was defeated.
