Winds of instability has started blowing at the 11-member Davorlim-Dicarpale village Panchayat.
For, a no trust motion has been tabled against the Sarpanch Herculano Niasso and deputy Sarpanch Michelle Miranda by six members of the Panchayat body.
The signatories to the motion includes, Santosh Naik, Vidhyadhar V Arlekar, Sham Rajadhyax, Sampada Naik, Carmino Carvalho and Vidhi V Varak.
In the notice entered in the office of the Salcete Block Development Officer on Monday, the six signatories alleged that the Sarpanch and Deputy Sarpanch are not taking Members into confidence while taking decision.
They further claimed that the non-cooperative attitude of the Sarpanch and the deputy Sarpanch in implementing developmental works, lack of transparency.
“The Sarpanch and Deputy Sarpanch are mismanaging the resources of the village, such as funds allocated for development projects, resulting into delays, in inefficiencies, affecting the overall process and well-being of the village”, the signatories stated.
After the Panchayat polls held last year, both the Sarpanch Herculano and the deputy Sarpanch had assumed office as an independent group, not part of the BJP group in the Panchayat body.
