Now, top cops visit crime scene at Cacora

A team of senior police officials led by Deputy Inspector General Vimal Gupta visited Cacora on Thursday evening to follow up on investigations into the murder of Shobha Karmali.

DIG Gupta was accompanied by South Goa SP Shekhar Prabhudessai, DySP Sammy Tavares and the Curchorem Police team as the officials visited the bungalow where the murder took place.

Two weeks have passed since Karmali was found murdered and the police are yet to obtain significant clues. Curchorem police have so far interrogated over 30 people and also checked phone records.

Speaking to The Goan, DySP Quepem, Sammy Tavares, confirmed the visit of DIG Gupta, SP Prabhudessai, Curchorem PI to Cacora.
