After constituting taluka-level flying squads, the State administration has unveiled WhatsApp numbers to facilitate the public in reporting illegal constructions.
The WhatsApp numbers can be used by the public to report illegal activities such as unauthorised constructions, illegal landfilling, and hill cutting.
The dedicated WhatsApp numbers will allow the public to report any such violations by calling or sending a WhatsApp message of up to 30 words with photos to the respective taluka flying squads.

Meanwhile, the South Goa Collector held a meeting with Deputy Collectors and Sub-Divisional Magistrates regarding the circular issued by the Chief Secretary on sand mining.
Collector Egna Cleetus has directed the Deputy Collectors and Sub-Divisional Magistrates to conduct surprise inspections and monitor the sand mining hotspots in the district.
