The State of Goa is amongst the first three States in the country to achieve 100% coverage of Covid -19 vaccination to its eligible population above 18 years.
After completing the vaccination campaign for 1 year and 30 days, State of Goa has achieved 100% coverage of first dose of Covid-19 vaccine and is very close to achieving 100% of second dose of Covid-19 vaccine with 99.93% coverage as on February 15, 2022. Covid-19 vaccination for children aged 15 to 18 years has also attained a significant coverage of 87% of first dose and 64% of second dose of the vaccine.
Considering the significant coverage of vaccination in the State, the programme of Covid vaccination is now integrated with Routine Immunization Programme of the State from Wednesday, February 16 in all the government Health Centers spread over the length and breadth of the State.
This will enable a continuous, smooth and ensured availability of vaccine to all those who are yet to receive the above vaccine. This is to ensure that vaccine wastage is minimized while at the same time allowing for optimal utilization of health care workers.
