Congress' decision not to name the party’s chief ministerial candidate for the Goa election may come as a blessing in disguise. And, the reason is simple. In the event of a hung assembly, political observers do not rule out the possibility of the post-poll partners insisting on having a say on the CM’s choice to lead the coalition government. It’s an open secret that a couple of candidates contesting on the new parties and as Independents had in the past accused certain Congress leaders of sabotaging a probable Congress government in 2017. Any questions?
