Former Minister Joaquim Alemao appeared confident of son Yuri sailing through the electoral battle. So confident was Joaquim that he told the media that the BJP candidate may not win a single booth across the constituency. Joaquim was unmoved when the media drew his attention that the BJP nominee Clafacio Dias may win a couple of booths, including his home village Paroda and the two booths in Culvaddo-Cuncolim, the home ward of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s brother-in-law Videsh Desai, saying both the booths will go in favour of son Yuri.
