When reports indicated that the state is heading for a high polling percentage, Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai interpreted the same as a vote against the government. He told the media that the high polling percentage is an indication of a mandate against the government. When the media pointed out that Fatorda too has recorded a high percentage and whether it is an indication of an anti-incumbency against him, Sardesai interpreted it as saying Fatordekars have by and large voted against the ruling dispensation.
