Nursing council poll to be held on May 21

Polling to elect the Goa Nursing Council will be held on May 21 and the results declared the same day, the Council has notified.

Various categories of registered nursing personnel including principals, faculty of Colleges conferring degree and diploma in auxiliary nursing midwifery, members of Trained Nurses Association of India (Goa Branch) and registered nurses are eligible to cast their vote as well as participate in the election.

Nomination forms can be sought by a written application to the Registrar of Goa Nursing Council and be filed before him latest by 4 pm on April 8, at the Council’s office in Bambolim. Scrutiny of nominations will be done on April 10, and candidature may be withdrawn by a notice in writing by 4 pm on April 15.  

List of contestants will be displayed on the Councils notice board on April 16 and polling will be held from 8 am on May 21 at the GNC office, Bambolim if an election is necessary. Counting will be taken up at 3.30 pm
