The Old Goa Police, in a joint operation with the Tamil Nadu Police, tracked down an absconder, A Rajesh at Corlim today. The fraudster is involved in several cases of cheating across Goa, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu among other places. According to the FIR, he duped around 300 customers of Rs 40 lakh on the pretext of pre-booking Suzuki scooters but fled away with the money.
"Rajesh was wanted in multiple cases across Tamil Nadu and was even illegally changed number plates on his TN-registered vehicle wherever he travelled," an officer said.
Besides recovering the four-wheeler, the police also found a number of KA-registered number plates.
