Launching a bank of 51 oxygen concentrators on the eve of his 51st birthday, Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai on Sunday gave a call to the people of Goa to replace Team BJP with Team Goa to reposition Goa and save the state for posterity.

The Goa Forward Chief launched the 51 oxygen concentrators at the Goemkar Ghor on Sunday on the eve of his birthday on Monday in the presence of party leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, Sardesai underscored the need for everyone to pool their efforts to reposition Goa when the state has been auctioned for sale by the BJP-led government.

“If we want to reposition Goa, we have to go forward with Team Goa and replace Team BJP. It is now clear that the person heading the Team BJP will lead the party in the coming election. The man, who has put Goa for auction, will be the author of the new book in 2022”, he said.

“When we lose something, we go and pray to St Anthony. Similarly, since Goa is lost, we have to pray to St Anthony on the occasion of his feast that we should get our Goa back”, he said.

Saying that Goa needs reposition to protect the future of posterity, Sardesai said Goa churns out qualified people but does not get the jobs.

He expressed confidence that the opposition parties will all join in the effort to take forward Team Goa to replace team BJP in 2022.

Sardesai said the bank will help the common man gasping for breath and who cannot afford to go to private hospitals.

On the occasion, the Goa Forward Chief honoured persons who were closely associated with helping the society during the second wave, be it in performing the last rites, transporting bodies and providing oxygen for the needy.
