The Cuncolim police arrested one Mahesh Harijan, resident of Velim and native of Hubli (Karnataka), who is suspected to have allegedly outraged the modesty of a woman.
According to Cuncolim police, the complainant lady lodged a complaint claiming that the suspect has been continuously harassing her since April 2015, by following her, making indecent gestures and passing lewd remarks, thereby outraging her modesty.
Acting on the complaint, Cuncolim police nabbed the suspect and booked him for offence committed under Section 354-A (1) (ii) (iii) (iv) and 354-D (i) of IPC. Further investigations are in progress.
