Two women assaulted in Ponda
PONDA: Two women from Amblai-Panchwadi were injured after they were allegedly assaulted by a resident of Panchwadi.
Police informed that Elvira D’Costa Fernandes of Amblai complained that accused had assaulted her mother, Caitana D’Costa (54), who sustained injuries and was admitted to GMC Hospital for medical treatment.
The complainant further stated that the accused had also assaulted her sister, Pricilla Fernandes, with kicks.
Ponda Police have registered offence under Sections 325 and 323 of IPC and is investigating the case.
