The Margao police has arrested a one person on the allegation of rape of girl in an incident that occurred between January 2021 and July 2023.
In her complaint, the victim girl alleged that the accused person Amin Sayed, being married and having two children befriended the complainant without disclosing to her that he was married.
She further alleged that on the pretext of marriage, he allegedly forced her into sexual relationship on various occasions at his flat and thereby committed rape, and cheated, abused, and insulted her.
Police said when the complainant came to know that accused was married, she stopped seeing the accused, but the accused allegedly forced her to continue the relationship, also threatened her with dire consequences.
When the complainant refused to keep relationship with him, the accused allegedly shared the intimate photographs to complainant’s brother’s wife, who was in marital problems with her husband, and thereby defamed complainant.
