One held for theft

PANAJI: The Goa Police have nabbed one Mohammed Latif Khan and recovered stolen goods including electronic equipment, gold ornaments, from his person.

According to the police, Khan was arrested in Margao and interrogated upon which he confessed to having committed a theft at St Mary’s Colony in Miramar.

The police have recovered cash, ornaments, a mobile phone, Canon camera, three wristwatches, metal bangles, and other ornaments.

“He has been placed under custody and the articles recovered from him,” the police have said.

The theft took place on Wednesday afternoon and the complaint was filed by Yolande Rosario who informed that the theft took place at her mother’s place in Miramar. The same evening Khan was found in Margao and apprehended.
