One held for transporting bull
PERNEM: Pernem Police arrested a 36-year-old pick-up driver from Banda-Maharashtra on charges of transporting a bull without valid permission at Amere in Pernem on Thursday.
According to Pernem Police, Pramila Rao of Bhustiwado-Pernem, Gomatak Goseva Sang, Pernem, complained that the accused Pramod Mandrekar, who was proceeding in his pick-up (MH-07-P-2624), was transporting the bull without any valid certificate and valid permission from any competent authority.
The accused was arrested under Section 11 (A) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act. Police is investigating the case.
