Anti Narcotics Cell of Goa Police on Wednesday conducted a raid at Anjuna and arrested one Dominica Ratwal for being in possession of LSD liquid and heroin worth Rs 1.19 lakh as well as cash amount of Rs 39,000.

Ratwal has been booked under Section 21 (a) (contravention in relation to small quantity of manufactured drugs and preparations) and 22 (c) (punishment for contravention in relation to commercial quantity of psychotropic substances) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

Acting on prior information, a team of ANC led by police sub inspector Manjunath Naik along with two panchas raided the residence of the accused between 11.50 am and 4.15 pm at Grande Peddem in Anjuna. During the house search, the accused was found to be in possession of 3.74 grams of suspected LSD liquid (commercial quantity) and 3.55 gms of suspected heroin total approximately worth Rs 1,19,000 and cash of Rs 39,000 in different denominations. The items were attached under panchanama.

The accused had been on ANC radar since a long time for allegedly securing narcotics from a source and then supplying it to various clients, Indian and foreign, a source revealed.

The accused has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody. ANC is probing the matter further.
