One held with liquor on rail station
: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested a bootlegger and seized from his possession around 55 bottles of liqour worth about Rs 5900 at the Margao railway station.
The incident occurred late on December 18, when the RPF lady head constable Neha M Joshi effected the arrest and seizure while performing her routine duties on platform No 1 of the station.
Since the court was closed on Monday, the accused was released on a surety bail and will be prosecuted under the Railway Act 1989 and will be produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao.
