OPD patients at South district hospital now need to undergo RT-PCR test before admission

The Out Patients Department (OPD) patients at the South Goa district hospital, Margao are now required to undergo RT-PCR test before they are given admission in the hospital.

In fact, one can now find patients outside the hospital main entrance, waiting for their turn to undergo the RT-PCR test before they gain entry into the hospital to see the doctors of their choice.

In fact, the exercise has been in force since the last one week as a matter of abundant caution to ensure that OPD patients are made to undergo the test before they are allowed entry.

Hospicio district hospital Medical Superintendent, Dr Deepa Corriea said the exercise of making the OPD patients undergo the RT-PCR test was since last week as a matter of caution.
