MARGAO
Deputy Chief Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar on Monday took the Opposition parties head on, holding them responsible for the poor response to Covid inoculation, saying the opposition instilled fears in the minds of the people.
While patting Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for handling the Covid situation, Ajgaonkar demanded to know from Opposition leader Digambar Kamat whether he had at any point of time requested the people to get themselves vaccinated. “Let Kamat come out and tell whether he and his workers had gone around to get the people out to take the jab and save their lives”, he said.
After inaugurating the Tika Utsav at the Adarsh High School, the deputy Chief Minster said the Opposition could have played its role in allaying the fears in the minds of the people, but they only did the talking. “The opposition is responsible for the poor response, but now they talk about the vaccination”, he said.
Ajgaonkar showered praises on Chief Minister PramodSawant for handling of the Covid situation, by ensuring that Goa remained in the green zone and for successfully holding the SSC examinations. “Even Opposition leader Digambar Kamat had opposed the SSC examination, but the government had successfully conducted the exam”, he added.
