The Congress on Monday said the insensitive, irresponsible and corrupt BJP Government is seeking cheap publicity by displaying photos of the CM and other BJP functionaries at the Covid vaccination centre.
Party leader Amarnath Panjikar demanded that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant must write to the Prime Minister and BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavde to BJP National President seeking photos of BJP functionaries on death certificate of those succumbing to Covid and at every crematorium and burial grounds.
The Congress raised strong objections to the act of BJP displaying banners at Adarsh High School, Margao with photographs of Chief Minister, Prime Minister, and other top BJP leaders congratulating Prime Minister on completion of 7 years in office.
Youth Congress President Varad Mardolkar said, “People are dying due to gross mismanagement of insensitive Government. People of Goa are sad to lose almost 2,625, many on account of oxygen shortage. Unfortunately, BJP is congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is an insult to all those who suffered and are suffering in Covid Pandemic.”
