Oppn leader avoids BAC meet, says can’t be part of decisions with ulterior motives

PANAJI

Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat on Monday refrained from attending the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee and called out the BJP government for failing to share the agenda for the meeting.

“What is the hidden agenda behind this meeting?  I cannot be a party to decisions with ulterior motives and will remain away from the meeting today,” Kamat stated.

On April 29, upon receiving a notice of the meeting, Kamat had said that at a time when the healthcare facilities have completely collapsed in Goa, the only business the BJP government needs to handle on priority is to provide free and timely medical aid to patients.

He questioned how the members can offer inputs at the BAC meeting without studying the agenda in advance.
