Over 800 villagers benefit from free health camp in Gadag

About 800 villagers from Mulgund in Gadag district of Karnataka availed the benefit of a free multi-speciality health check-up camp on Wednesday.

The camp was organised and sponsored by Serentica, in association with K H Patil Hospital and Medical Research Centre, which deputed a large team of superspecialists and doctors to the village, and Prudent Media.

The camp, which catered to residents ranging from infants as young as six months to senior citizens aged 90 years, offered services across a wide spectrum of disciplines, including gynaecology, dental care, dermatology, and orthopaedics. Special blood investigations and free medicines were also provided to the beneficiaries.


Speaking on the occasion, President of the Rural Medical Service Society Dr S C Naganur highlighted that K H Patil Hospital has been rendering valuable medical services to rural communities across Gadag district.

He recalled the hospital’s exceptional contribution during the Covid-19 crisis and appreciated Serentica for reaching out to remote areas. He further announced that the hospital would soon expand its range of superspecialty services for the benefit of rural patients.

Secretary of the Rural Medical Service Society Dr Weman Sawakar lauded the selfless initiatives of Serentica and the support extended by Prudent Media, which helped in reaching out to larger sections of society.

In his address, Balkrishna J, COO of Serentica, said the company felt privileged to serve the people of Nargund.

“This is only the beginning. We will continue to render health and other welfare services for the villagers of Mulgund and the surrounding region,” he assured.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the villagers, Dr S C Chavadi said, “The people of Nargund are fortunate to have received specialised healthcare services at their doorstep. Serentica, Prudent Media, and the team of K H Patil Hospital deserve our heartfelt thanks.”

On this occasion, the villagers felicitated the noted superspecialists and doctors who had conducted the check-ups, including Dr Deepak, Dr Manoj Bhute, Dr Krishna Navalli, Dr Krishna Hulli, Dr Jagdish Gadeppanavar, and Dr Girish Nagaraj.

COO of Serentica Balkrishna J, along with Director of Prudent Media Joe Louis and Vijesh Mankar were also honoured by the community.

The camp concluded on a note of gratitude, with both villagers and organisers pledging to continue the spirit of service and healthcare outreach in rural Gadag.
