Painting, elocution contest on girl child

PANAJI: The south district collector and chairman, PCPNDT, has initiated a painting and elocution competition at district-level to bring awareness among the public towards prohibition of sex selection and curb female foeticide.

The theme is 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' and it is scheduled from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm on January 8, in the Ravindra Bhavan, Margao auditorium.
