The pandal erected on the SGPDA grounds in view of the Holy Spirit feast fair, beginning from Sunday, came crashing down on Friday evening.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, but it has thrown up questions on the stability of the structure put up for the ensuing fair.
A vendor, however, pointed out that the pandal collapsed after a vehicle, while taking reverse dashed against a pole, bringing down the structure.
Questions, however, are raised whether any authority inspects the temporary pandals erected for the feast fairs, the material used for the pandal, before certifying that the structure erected is safe for the members of the public.
