Threaten to bring students to ADEI office & stage protest

Parents confronted the Canacona ADEI and sought to know why no ADEI officer had visited the GPS or had enquired about the students.
CANACONA
Aggrieved parents of the Government Primary School at Ziltawadi-Gaongondrem confronted the Canacona ADEI to seek justification over the abrupt transfer of their teacher.
The 26 students of the GPS, led by their parents, have been boycotting classes since Monday and have refused to enter classrooms till the teacher’s transfer is cancelled.
Despite intimating the Canacona ADEI about the protest, angry parents confronted the Canacona ADEI and sought to know why no ADEI officer had visited the GPS or had enquired about the students. Parents also wanted to know why the teacher’s transfer order had not yet been cancelled.
Claiming to be helpless in the matter, the ADEI informed the agitating parents that she is not authorised by higher authorities to either issue or cancel a transfer order.
Dissatisfied with her reply, parents warned that if the transfer order was not cancelled, all students of GPS Ziltawadi would proceed to Chaudi and stage a dharna at the ADEI office. Canacona Councillor and GFP leader Shubham Komarpant also accompanied the agitating parents of GPS Ziltawadi.
Meanwhile, GFP’s ZP (Poinguinim) candidate Prashant Naik, in a press note, has criticised “political interference” in the teacher’s transfer and demanded immediate reversal of the order for the benefit of students.
“The future of students is being sacrificed at the behest of politicians. We demand immediate reversal of the transfer order of the teacher of Government Primary School Ziltawadi-Gaondongrim. We extend our complete support to the ongoing agitation by the parents of the school, who have refrained from sending their children to school for the last two days,” stated Naik.
