Parents stop sending children to Anganwadi in Dharbandora

PONDA

Parents did not send their children to the Anganwadi in Tamasado-Dharbandora on Tuesday, after complaining that the floor has become damp. There are 25 children in the Anganwadi and parents have warned that their children will be kept at home till they are shifted to suitable premises.

The parents are unhappy that children in the Anganwadi have been forced to sit on the floor which had become damp due to rainwater in the monsoon.

On Monday, the parents held a meeting with officials and demanded that the Anganwadi be shifted elsewhere.

After a meeting with stakeholders, Deputy Collector Nilesh Dhaygodkar decided to shift the Anganwadi to a government primary school near the Anganwadi.
