Parliament contest begins today
PANAJI: Speaker Anant Shet will inaugurate the students Parliament competition for the academic year-2016 on January 29, at the Assembly complex, Porvorim. The contest is organized by Goa Legislature Secretariat in co-ordination with Goa Legislature Forum and Directorate Higher Education.
Students from 25 professional and degree colleges will participate in the competition which will conclude on February 9.
Rolling trophies will be awarded to the first three winners as well as mementos. Four meritorious prizes will also be awarded. There will also be a prize for the best co-ordinator (2 teacher).
The chief minister will present the prizes in the presence of the speaker deputy speaker, Leader of the Opposition at 4.30 pm, on February 9.
