Recently concluded Assembly session was held for the purpose of electioneering, and BJP's Panaji candidate took full advantage to make election speeches on the floor of the House, Congress President Shantaram Naik said on Friday, criticizing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. He was addressing a press conference in Panaji. Mr Naik further alleged that the official residence of Chief Minister is being used for political purpose in violation of Representation of the People's Act. , he declined to register a complaint on the issue.

Commenting on the situation of Lucky Seven casino, the GPCC presidnet said that CM Parrikar should be booked for abetment to the offence of criminal negligence for grounding of the casino vessel.

Unidentified male dead body found at Moira manas

Locals of Moira were shocked today to find an unidentified male body at Moira manas.Mapusa police reached the spot upon receiving the information and the body was later fished out of water. The body, which has not yet been identified, is in completely decayed condition, and it is speculated that it had been lying there since the past three to five days. The age of the deceased is estimated to be around 50-60 years.
