Parsekar was speaking at the Vijaysankalp meeting organised by Mandrem BJP Mandal at Mandrem, which was attended by over 5,000 people.Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Ayush Minister Shripad Naik, South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar, Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza, Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar, Panchayat Minister Rajendra Arlekar, WRD Minister Dayanand Mandrekar, RDA Minister Alina Saldhana, Aldona MLA Glen Ticlo, Calangute MLA Michael Lobo, Tivim MLA Kiran Kandolkar, Vasco MLA Carlos Almeda, Cuncolim MLA Rajan Naik, Sanvordem MLA Ganesh Gaonkar, Sakhali MLA Dr Pramod Sawant and others were present for the meeting.
Speaking further, Parsekar criticized the Congress leaders and challenged them to win at least five assembly seats in the forthcoming assembly election.
“The Congress and other opposition parties must play a fair political game rather than raising sentimental issues,” said Parsekar.
Speaking at the meeting, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said: “Our workers are our strength and we are ready for any challenge from the opposition.”
“Aam Aadmi Party is displaying banners on roadsides giving some numbers as if it is some Matka numbers,” stated Parrikar.
Shripad Naik, Rajendra Arlekar and Dayanand Mandrekar appealed to the voters to repose faith in BJP for all-round progress of the State and people in general.
Santosh Korkhankar compered the meeting, while Yeshwant Narvekar proposed the vote of thanks.
