* Never neglected any specific constituency or blocked any project. Will never do it in near future
* Of 1500 jobs which have been kept in abeyance, more than 50 pc are from my departments
* Even told not to issue offer letters so that no one feels that I got things done for my benefit
* Don’t think people who are a part of my cabinet should send wrong message to the public

The rift between the leaders of BJP’s alliance Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) and Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar seems to be increasing with MGP leaders alleging that Parsekar has been taking them for granted after the former chief minister Manohar Parrikar was elevated as the defence minister at the Centre.
Attacking Parsekar for not taking MGP into confidence while taking major decisions, MGP President Deepak Dhavalikar said that Parsekar would be solely responsible if the BJP-MGP alliance breaks.
“We had thought of alliance with the BJP for ten years in the interest of the State. It was a decision for all round development of the State under the leadership of Manohar Parrikar. But, then he had to go to Delhi suddenly as the Defence Minister in 2014. Till then, for the first two-and-a-half years of the government, he used to always take us into confidence and also inform us about the various decisions. But in the last two years after Parsekar took over as the chief minister, everything has changed. We are being sidelined totally”, said Dhavalikar.
He informed that various developmental projects in constituencies have been kept pending and contractors have also not been paid for over six months.
“Every year over 5,000 people including tourists visit the temples of Mangueshi and Mardol. For their convenience, facilities were proposed to be set up at these places which have been pending even as the file was submitted in 2014. Neither the tender was floated nor the foundation stone laid for the projects. The bus stand in Marcel and the Banastari is still not completed”, he said.
Complaining that Parsekar-led government is issuing various circulars including the cashless circular by the commissioner of commercial taxes without taking MGP into confidence, he said, “They do such acts and then they expect the alliance to be intact. For alliance to continue in a positive manner, they have to take us in confidence. He is completely taking us for granted.”
Dhavalikar also grumbled about the LED bulbs not being provided to any of the panchayats in his constituency.
“We called the chief minister and organised a function for distribution of the free LED bulbs, but the distribution was limited only for the function. None of the panchayats in my constituency have been provided with LED bulbs despite making several personal requests to the power minister and even to the defence minister”, he said.
He also informed that they have demanded for 15 seats in the alliance.
“We are asking for 15 seats because our strength has been increasing day by day as a party. We have almost finalised with candidates in these constituencies too. If the alliance breaks due to any circumstances then we would look at alliance post elections”, he said.
