Addressing a press conference, GPCC Spokesperson Yatish Naik has said that the press conference addressed by Patra was more significant for what he didn’t say than what he said.
“The Modi government has no achievements and no performance to show for. This is why a national
spokesperson has come all the way to Goa and instead of speaking about his government’s achievements and performance has spoken some stupid things about the Congress which are not true,” Naik said.
“He dodged a question on the beef issue and of cow vigilantism saying that he was not there to talk about that,”
Naik said.
Naik proceeded to list out the issues that continue to remain unanswered about the present Modi government at the centre.
“Why did he not speak about the alleged `15-lakh that was to come to each person’s account in the form of returning black money to the country?
Why did he not speak on the deaths due to beef and cow
vigilantism? Why did he not show how many jobs have been created? Why did he not speak about how many people have risen from below to above poverty line?” Naik asked.
He also raised questions on Modi’s pre-poll promise of special status, and the lack of a full time Defence Minister despite the grave situation at the border.
Naik instead highlighted how the then Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar could now face trial for alleged corruption in the Serula Comunidade, the fact that seven sitting ministers lost the elections and for the first
time a sitting Chief Minister lost the elections.
“He brought with him only ignorance and bankruptcy,” Naik said.
