Veteran journalist Paul Fernandes will be featured in the ‘Behind The Byline: Know Your GUJ Member’ series on Friday, September 27. Fernandes will be in conversation with Vijay Desouza, Editor of The Navhind Times, at the GUJ hall, Shram Shakti Bhavan, Panaji, at 4 p.m. With a journalism career spanning over four decades, Fernandes has worked as a proofreader, sub-editor, reporter, correspondent, and editor. Known as Goa’s ‘Green Journalist,’ he began his career in 1979 with West Coast Times and has since worked at Novem Goem, Herald, Gomantak Times, and The Times of India, where he retired as Senior Assistant Editor in 2016. He continues freelancing for TOI, focusing on environmental and social issues.
