A man in his fifties was fatally run over by a Maharashtra-registered bus near the Malim Jetty.
Porvorim police said they had received a call at about 3.45 pm on Saturday stating that a man had been run over by a bus.
The man was shifted to GMC hospital at Bambolim but was declared dead on admission. Police took the driver for questioning and also sent the body to the GMC mortuary for an autopsy.
Police have registered the case under Section 194 of BNSS and is investigating the matter.
