The Sarsangan Commonwealth Developers +45 Veterans Cricket Series 2025 witnessed another thrilling day at the Arlem Cricket Ground, with Salcete Stallions securing a finals berth and Mapusa Dream Crushers pulling off a dramatic last-ball win.
Salcete Stallions continued their dominant run with a six-wicket win over Govindraj Legends, chasing 188/4 in just 18.2 overs to surpass the Legends’ 187/4. Govindraj’s innings featured solid contributions from Balkrishna Hodarkar (35), Anish Dharwadkar (35), Prashant Amonkar (29), Siddesh Bodke (22), and captain Rajendra Prabhudesai (20).
For the Stallions, Siddesh Pai (19), Sarvesh Kamat (37), Vishwesh Kamat (36), Ganesh Vernekar (26), and Yatin Kaisare (37) guided the team home. Sudin Kamat picked up two wickets for the Legends. Yatin Kaisare was named Man of the Match, while Sarvesh Kamat earned Best Batter, Sudin Kamat Best Bowler, Vishwesh Kamat Super Striker, and Balkrishna Hodarkar Impact Player.
In a pulsating encounter, Mapusa Dream Crushers edged out Pai & Khot Fighters by one wicket off the final ball. The Fighters posted 166/6, powered by Sandeep Thali (38) and Avinash Kossambe (37). The Crushers’ chase was anchored by Rajesh Colvalcar (38), Anant Chodnekar (25), and Siddesh Desai (35), but a late flurry of wickets left them at 161/9 after 19 overs.
Needing six runs in the final over, Samruddh Hegde Desai (14*), dropped twice, guided the team to a thrilling 167/9 finish. Sandeep Thali and Avinash Kossambe picked up a wicket each for the Fighters. Rajesh Colvalcar was named Man of the Match, Sandeep Thali Best Batter, Shiraj Pai Khot Best Bowler, Avinash Kossambe Super Striker, and Rasik Pai Khot Impact Player.
