Dattaram Pednekar, a Congress leader from Siolim, has resigned from the party and has decided to contest as an Independent candidate after the party decided to give the ticket to Delilah Lobo.
"I have worked as an honest party worker of Congress for years, and yet, they betrayed me. But I have public support and so, I will contest as an independent candidate. I will not join any party nor will I ask any party to support me.”
“Siolim still lacks basic facilities, and this will be my area of focus once I get elected," said Pednekar.
