Pernem police nab three for stealing mobile phones

Pernem police have arrested three person persons on charges of stealing two mobile phones worth Rs 1.3 lakh.

According to Pernem Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi, an FIR was registered against unknown persons in July in connection with the theft of two mobile phones from the car of a person from Chapora.

Investigations finally led police to nab the three accused, Sankesh Chodankar of Calangute and Phurbu Ringi Singe and Mohan Lal Bahadur Thapa, both natives of Nepal but residing in Calangute. Police recovered both stolen phones from the accused.

Police said the Chodankar was earlier arrested twice in theft cases. Further investigation is in progress.
