The Sarpanchas, Panch members of eleven panchayats and the chairperson and councillors from the Municipal area of Pernem expressed satisfaction with the assurance given by the Minister. They said that the decision to take all the local bodies into confidence is a welcome move.
“Minister has assured to make a detailed presentation on the plan at every panchayat. And our suggestions and objections will be taken into consideration before finalizing the plan,” a panch member said, adding “we will see maximum public participation during the presentation”.
Another panch member from Dhargal panchayat said, “As requested, our houses are now marked under settlement and we are happy about it. There are some which are left out, the Minister has assured to identify those and the same would be included.”
MLA Pravin Arlekar said public should not be misled and that if there are any suggestions or objections, the same should be brought to the notice of the department for corrections.
